Our devotion is always tested ✨
Today, I wanted to talk about love. You can call it love, devotion, or even faith — they’re all expressions of the same thing, all directed toward God. It’s the trust that He knows when to move you forward, what needs to happen, and how. He always knows more than we do.
But is it even love without the pain? Is it love without the longing to meet Him? Is it love if you’re not afraid of separation?
When we love someone, we choose a person who makes us better — not someone who drains us. We look for someone who stands by us when life gets difficult, and when we finally find them, we hope that they have the courage to stay even when things get hard.
Love gives us pain, right? So why would loving God be any different?
Human love teaches us patience, forgiveness, unconditional love, acceptance and much more but divine love is no different. Some of us discover human love first, while others fall in love with divinity before anything else. Both paths carry similar lessons but the same growth. Sometimes we might get annoyed at Him with all these tests and lessons. But when our love becomes so intense, anger only suffocates us, because even a small distance from Him feels unbearable.
We all need someone to trust, a guide, who can lead us to love God so deeply that we become willing to do anything He asks, even if we dont want to. Not out of fear, not out of pressure, but out of pure love.
When our love becomes so intense, obedience becomes natural and our faith finally feels meaningful. Faith without love can feel dry, mechanical, or abstract. But when love enters the picture, faith becomes felt, not just believed. And when things get hard, it is Love that helps us to keep going. Life becomes easier to bear because only love has the power to repair<3
